Could we please add tumblr to the list of social app links that we can display on our profiles? tia
Add a Link. Scroll Down. Add a Link. Scroll Down. Repeat Ad Infinitum.
Extremely minor pony request: After I use the "link" button in data entry boxes on "Create a New Post" pages, the view shifts to the very beginning of the text in the box. (The scroll bar goes all the way back to the top.) I tend to create posts which have a lot of links in them that fill up those boxes quickly. To find my place after creating a link, I then need to scroll down within the box. Would it possible to not have that happen? Can the cursor and view be left at the end of the link that has just been added instead? [more inside]
What say ye of the edit window?

From this distance it's hard to tell whether it's a pony or a stallion: making AAC files uploadable to MeFiMusic? [more inside]

GitHub in social apps?
Can we have GitHub added to the social apps list? I bet there's a good number of Mefites sharing code over there. [more inside]
Search Through User's Activity?
Would it be possible to have a search box on Activity subpages -- in other words, a search function that limits itself to a single user's comments or posts? [more inside]

Very-trivial-but-just-noticed-this-usability-thing-so-I'm-throwing-it-out-there-as-a-pony-request.
I've just noticed that the text that I type into the search box beneath the links to sub-sites does not carry over when I browse from sub-site to sub-site. I know that Google (on FF 3.011) does this between its different sub-sites and I find it very useful because it eliminates the Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V keystrokes (or retyping for the less computer savvy) when you are using the same search terms between sub-sites.
Don't leave me this way!
Music pony! Can we get a warning when we're about to navigate away from a page where a MeFi Music track is playing? [more inside]
A Metafilter "B-Side"
I often come across amusing tidbits on the Internets that I'd like to post to Metafilter, but I don't for fear of the collective Meh. It would be great if there were a Metafilter B-Side for the Second-Best-Of-The-Web sites (such as this little bit hilarity) that folks might enjoy but aren't necessarily top shelf. I suspect that such a B-Side will actually improve the site-wide quality of the posts because folks might be less apt to self censor -- in fact a post-to-Metafilter-from-the-B-Side-button a la Projects would be a great way to make that happen. So, a double pony request, I guess.
Comment page?
Averysmallponyrequest: Could we get a link on the My Comments to the page that shows all of our comments?
Div questions
How about enclosing individual comments in a div? This would make the site friendlier to things like greasemonkey (if this is considered desirable).
How about a best answer counter?
I Like Ponies: On the user page, where it says "posted X questions and X answers to Ask MetaFilter", it would be very nifty to add a counter of how many "best answers" this user has received on AskMe. It'll be a positive way to increase the signal/noise ratio -- and while it may provoke some competition, it'll be competition to be the most helpful and comprehensive, which should lead to good things for Ask MeFi.

Make Metafilter better for me!
I have a few ideas on how Metafilter could be tuned to work better for the way I use it. I'm not guaranteeing anyone else would even care. Read my description of how I read MeFi and what features would make it easier for me inside.
Off-topic, off-color
I was just reading over the QuickTopics thread, and a thought came to mind that a solution akin to what Raging Bull used to do, namely offering a check box in the posting area that actually allows the poster to self-label their comment as off-topic (OT) or not.
Basically, all the posts that are self-labeled as off-topic would show-up as a less contrasting text color (say a bluish-white, or something) in the thread. This will give users a visual clue that can help them better navigate the thread. I'm also thinking that a little glyph out on the main page to indicate off-topic material might also be useful, if only to invite the curious into the thread. This might, though, encourage too much OT. I don't know.
What do you think?

show me new stuff
What if you could set an option to hide everything that isn't new? Meaning, MetaFilter only shows me new topics, and topics that have new comments posted to them.
