Share your communication with representatives again!
The last thread for sharing our communications with our elected representatives was really successful! Obviously a lot is going on in the U.S. especially right now, and with democracy itself under attack, now is as good a time as any to recommit ourselves to the idea of participatory democracy by reaching out to our elected officials. Hugging Hugs
By request, a thread for happy thoughts, kindness, positive vibes, good news sharing, comfort, random cute or fun stuff, and general hugginess.❤️🤗❤️
Share your letters to your representatives!
Inspired by this comment by Greg_Ace, let's amplify our activism. If you've written a letter to one of your democratically-elected representatives, share it here, and inspire the rest of us! [more inside]
Do you make music?
Do you have an instrument at home? Or a voice? And a camera or a microphone? Willing to upload to Youtube or Facebook or Vimeo or Soundcloud or your provider of choice and link to it here? Better to be at home sharing music than to be at home not sharing music!
Holiday Stories to Bring the Cheer
Hi all, I thought I'd contribute to the community by asking this question: what's a favorite holiday moment of yours? It can be silly, sweet, hilarious, anything that brings you a moment of cheer when you remember it. Best wishes during this season and hugs to anyone that wants them.
MetaGoodness
Tell me something good. Something happy. Maybe it's a thing you did. Maybe it's a thing that was done for you. Share something good with me and the rest of us. I feel like we need some of that. There's been a lot of serious happening the last few days and I want to just hear something good, positive, and light. I like this place and all of you. Be kind to each other, love yourself. Tell me something good.

What Art Offers Is Space -- a Certain Breathing Room for the Spirit.
Show us your art! I'm feeling the need for some beauty and some MeFite sharing, so let's see (and/or read about) your favorite object of beauty in your living space (art, tchotchke, design element, whatever) ... whatever it is that's beautiful in your space and brings you happiness from looking at it. Show us your #1, show us your top 5, I just want to see what beautiful things bring you all happiness in your homes!
If You Use IFTTT Then Consider Sharing Recipes
As of yesterday there is an Also On option for IFTTT. If you use the service, please consider adding IFTTT to your profile page. If you are also creating MetaFilter-related "recipes" then please consider sharing them on the wiki. Thanks for adding this useful service to the list, pb!
Unearthing 2012's Buried Treasure
My list of such is short and lame this year, but it would be lamer if we didn't have one of these threads for 2012. Show us your MeFi buried treasure! [more inside]
Google Plus sharing button
Pony Request: Can we have a google plus sharing button besides twitter and facebook, please.
Lend me your ears
I just set up a group for MeFi members over at NeighborGoods, a virtual lending library of "stuff" site. In the continuing tradition of not reinventing the wheel around here, I'm opting to use an existing service to help people share their belongings with other members, so have at it, sign up and list your things. Sharing Userids
*This is Mrs. thatwhichfalls posting, I am responsible for all my own comments*
Regardles of the merits of the FPP, shouldn't a new user go ahead and sign up, post a few comments, get a feel for the place, and earn the right to post to FP?

Sharing accounts
Now that it's becoming a trend (#1, #2, #3), does anyone else think publicly sharing accounts to circumvent site registration is a bad idea?
