User Profile Page January 12, 2007 4:00 PM   Subscribe

Is there a page that links to all user profiles? Just curious.

There used to be one, similiar to this page on SpoFi, but it was randomized instead of in alphabetical order. It doesn't appear to exist any longer that I can find.

You do realize just how many users there are now, don't you?

Yea, SCDB, I do. We can only, as far as I know, visit profiles of those who post and I'm curious as to how many members exist who have paid the 5 but are still lurking for the most part.

Also I wanted to look up people that I've gifted memberships to and see if they have any activity.

So, do you want just a page of links to all profiles, or a page with links + summary info for all profiles? Because if it's the former, you can roll your own trivially.

Where's the channel bot that spews stats when you need him?

There is this thing that lists a hundred at a time, and their websites, but it's not exactly what you are after.

also, if you know the handle they chose, you can use: http://www.metafilter.com/username/snsranch, replacing your name with theirs.

Not exactly the procrastination treasure cave you were looking for, but you can see what the people you gave accounts to have been up to.

cortex, just the links to profiles. I figured such a thing would already exist.

I guess I'll scroll through the link Micayetoca provided.

This links to all users who have filled in the "What's the deal with your nickname?" field.

<script>
 for(i = 0; i < 50000; i++){br>    document.write('<a href="http://www.metafilter.com/user/' + i + '"> user # ' + i + '</a><br />\r\n');
 }

   document.write('<a href="http://www.metafilter.com/user/' + i + '"> user # ' + i + '</a><br />\r\n');

...if you'd prefer a list of user numbers.

I'm going to kill that old users page before it kills the database server again.
