Pony request: Can we have contact activity on the green?

I'd love to keep track of all the amazing things my contacts are posting but I rarely spend time on the blue. Can we have the option of seeing contact activity (perhaps via a setting in preferences) on the green?

The category sidebar could just appear below the contact activity bar.

One the one hand, it's a great idea. On the other, that contact activity ONLY being on the blue draws me into the blue more than I would be otherwise, which is nice.

I'm going to be a naysayer and say that I think the simplicity of interface we have now is a good thing. Another preference item is not good.

You could bookmark the recent activity for contacts page & check in on it from time to time.

Screw the simplicity of the interface. Sidebar activity for all! (Where all is defined as "MetaTalk and AskMe".)

I was really excited when I saw pony request and was really hoping that this would just be a post asking if anyone had a pony, but oh well.
