What's the fake radar website? August 28, 2009 4:04 PM   Subscribe

Find-that-Question: A while ago there was a question about a website/application that would throw all sorts of cool little radar screens and such up on the screen. I think it ultimately was used to make a background in a news conference? I'm not sure. But can anyone find it? I'm tried searching for all combinations (wha? "combinations" isn't in the FF 3.5 dictionary) of computer, screen, movie, radar, and website. Help :/

Sounds like the Talisker Computer Network Defence Operational Picture as used in a photo op by the NSA.

medel, that's it. Thanks! I know that the site spork linked to was mentioned in the Question comments, but I still can't find the question. Oh well. As least I have something to get some "more awesome" in on a LCD screens for a stage layout I'm doing! Thanks.

Wow, that's actually pretty ugly.

It looks better on a wall-sized screen.

That's the one. Thanks, everyone.

In other news, the T.C.N.D.O.P. has been usurped by the even more "more awsome" (quoting what my director wants to see on our extra screens) Neave.com.

In all fairness, my guess is that the screen behind them is rarely used, some poor tech lackey was told "Pull up something interesting behind Bush!" The lackey knows they can't put anything actually real back there, since anyone could look at the photo and discover classified information. So, they just pull up that website and go back to whatever it was they were doing.
