Which Greasemonkey script shows comment numbers for each comment in a thread?
I can't figure out whether this was a function of a script that I have installed, but is not working anymore, or a script that I used to have and have forgotten to install on my new computer. Searching the mefi tag on userscripts.org has not helped. Help with this would be much appreciated.
Note: I'm not talking about the script that identifies number of comments by a particular user in the thread, and helps you navigate from one to the next.

Hm. I have Mefi Navigator installed, but I'm not seeing the comment numbers down the left hand side of the page.

Check out the post below this one. There's been some DNS problems and the backend of scripts needs to point somewhere else know.

Brandon, you're referring to this comment by pb? If you're running NoScript or AdBlock or something like that, you might need to whitelist that domain to get scripts loading.
That isn't about greasemonkey scripts, but site scripts, like getting ajax-y favoriting to work. It's a change the user would have to make if they use the above mentioned ad blockers.

Also, my lack of comment numbers is older than the DNS server issues.

Lame_username, THANK YOU!!!! I don't know how I missed that in my search. It's tagged with mefi and named the most intuitive thing it could be named. And now I have comment numbering goodness. Thank you again!

Well, in long threads, it helps in keeping track of comments. That's pretty much it, from my perspective.

bardophile- I use that script too and it doesn't number your comment after you post (or if you click the "more comments" thingy). You have to actually refresh the page to get the numbers.

A gentle reminder to anyone using whatever that comment numbering script is: it sometimes interacts (or at least used to) awkwardly with at least one of the quotation scripts such that the comment number would end up prepended to a quoted comment if you didn't clear that out manually. Which is enormously confusing to almost everyone else reading the site because they don't see that number. So, you know, careful about that.

My Mefi Navigator script's stopped working on this (old) machine too. Still works on a slightly newer one.
