Treat member's websites as external links?

I have my preferences set to open links in a new window, but if I click on a user's website from their Profile page, the site opens in the same window. Is it possible to get those links to act like other external links? Is there a downside to changing it that I'm not seeing?

That seems like it'd be reasonably consistent with the external links preference, yeah. We'll change it!

I'll take up my usual spot as an outlier and note that my 'website' link is to an internal-to-MeFi page.

So going by the timestamps this request was actioned in a maximum of 119 seconds. Is this a record? Is there an existing request-to-implementation record that beats this?
