Now that we have search here (thanks!), I'd like to see user data for MeTa in addition to the MeFi info. For example: "poppie has posted 1 link and 3 comments to MetaTalk."
Gluechunk, I'm assuming that this is because metalk threads that one has participated in are (lately at least) difficult to locate at times. It would be much easier if these threads were posted on one's user page. Anyway, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I was wondering about that some point myself. Because subjects are separated on metatalk, and some of the threads can seem similar in subject and tone, it can take a lot longer to find a single post posted to metatalk.
But if Matt is going to allow one to "rank" favored threads via use of a cookie in the future, will one be able to include metatalk threads? That would solve the problem, at least of being able to find threads that one wishes to follow.
Would placing a link on members intro pages make metatalk more popular and busy (based on a theory that people check intro pages before they notice the metatalk link) This is not a bad thing, imho, just noting that it might occur.
I think it's a good idea, I was just speculating as to why it hadn't already been implemented.
