Folo-up: In 2005 I posted the trailer for a documentary about the legendary SoCal band The Beat Farmers. Due to licensing issues *cough* Letterman clip *cough* the DVD has never been released, despite pleading from fans...until now. Director Jamie Dawson just put the whole thing on YouTube in 9 parts (about 8 mins. each) plus coda. YT Playlist here.

A follow up to this little post I made a few years ago about a fellow that was attempting to walk every street and lane of his surroundings. His passing has given me pause to reflect on the idea of community and how posting events from the local to the global bring us closer together. AskMe vent: Is it just me, or does anyone else get frustrated when they answer questions and the asker never comes back to say "Hey, thanks, that's what I was looking for" or "That's not what I meant, but let me clarify" or never comes back to give feedback to the answers in any way? I'm not talking about "anonymous" askers who obviously can't follow up. I mean regular/mundane/normal questions whose askers never bother to respond at all. [more inside]
