Help Pick the Winning Door

At the childcare center I work at, we are having a Christmas door decorating contest. Please help pick a winner. The pictures and a link to the ballot are here. There are no prizes, just bragging rights until next year.

If you're in the US, vote Biden/Harris and get Trump out of office.

Hey. It's cortex. We don't usually do this sort of thing, but: this US election is a couple weeks away and is really important for the future of the US and for the world. We're four years into creeping authoritarianism and outright regressive bigotry from the President and the GOP. If you're in the US, it's really important that you vote Biden/Harris and get Trump the hell out of office. Vote early if you can. There's state-by-state voting information available from vote411 and Ballotpedia.

Vote. Vote. Vote. Vote.

Today is Election Day in the United States for the 2018 mid-terms. Thought it'd be nice to have a place to check-in and let us know you voted. Vote. It's important. Go vote. Vote. VOTE.

Choice making outside yes or no

I'm trying to find the idea for choice resolution where a couple wanted to pick something, whether it was a TV show out dinner, and instead of just a binary yes-no, it was more like testing how much you cared about X, to allow for more nuanced choice making. But I have had no luck googling or searching on it. Can anyone help?

Looking for a MeFi comment

I remember reading a comment on why the standard recommendation of "voting with your wallet" if you want to see political and/or economic change is bad/bullshit/bogus (in the opinion of the poster). My MeFi-fu is failing me. Please help? [more inside]

I know, we aren't Digg. Or Yahoo Answers. Or Fluther. But I'm curious.

So I had this crazy idea while surfing the internet in my apartment with no other living soul except my cats who are currently attempting to bridge the gap between sleep and suspended animation. [more inside]

I voted for what?

I just got sort of tricked into voting for the fore-edge painting post on metafilter:remixed by casu marzu. While I DID think it was a great post, I had no idea mefi:remixed existed, and would have liked more of a "click here if you think this post deserves recognition on another site" link. Or something. It's not a big deal, just a courtesy issue.
