Who is this one you speak of?

One could probably look into that. Or have another one who is more of a friggin' db ninja do so.

Also, consider this particular comment a protest of the administration's profound lack of editorial discretion. Moderators may delete at will, 'yo.

a protest of the administration's profound lack of editorial discretion.

Stop whining about your stupid comments getting deleted!

Sorry, pavlovian response to the the combination of "comments" and "deleted" in the same sentence.

As you were, carry on...

you SAID I could delete it!!

The silly ebonics part, yeah, if it was over the line. The rest was all heartfelt and sincere and shit, and I apologize for being unclear about the distinction or not putting it in a separate comment.

Apologizing for being unclear—or even just neutrally clarifying your intent—is probably better than complaining about "the administration's profound lack of editorial discretion", fwiw.

I already used my favorites with my Continental miles. Thanks for the trip!

I'm kind of an asshole sometimes. The fact that I pay such close, abiding attention to my favorites tally, of all things, should testify to that.

Does the fact that I gave the stereotypical deadbeat an ebonic voice make me a bigot by any stretch? Or is absenteeism predominant enough among black fathers to justify it? Or am I simply the victim of a skewed perception shown in the media?

'Cause as much as I'm often uncomfortable with being an asshole, I'd really hate to be a bigot as well.

Sounds like you just might be a bit drunk.

FWIW, I liked (and agreed with) your comment, but I also agree with its deletion. If you had posted each half as a separate comment, you could have avoided the problem of having the whole thing deleted.

I'm kind of an asshole sometimes.

Admitting it is the first step toward recovery.

You didn't give a stereotypical deadbeat an ebonic voice. You gave a stereotypical 'ghetto' black man a deadbeat's protestations. Absolutely out of line.

It's the same as if you'd impersonated the ex in ebonics mulling getting his babies so she can get section 8/child support/whatever.

One would be wrong.

Firas

That's a semantic distinction. You could not have drawn that from the text because the text would read identically in either scenario.

Therefore, the fact that you drew it says absolutely nothing about me... and everything about your own worldview, and your own failings. Until you're ready to look in the mirror and examine yourself, you'd best stay out of my face.

This is shaping up to be a big pile of awesome. Let's just, you know, not. We'll check out the counting mechanism.
