Was there an alternate way I could have formatted this
post? The main link is to the promo website that will eventually have the featured cute puppy video but doesn't yet, but there are two other links (to an existing cute puppy video on youtube, as well as an associated hedgehog-interest story). Is the problem that the link to the promo site was the only one above the fold, and the main video of interest is not actually up yet? Should I just wait until after Sunday and link to the video post-Puppy Bowl? Should I have focused on the three-legged hedgehog overcoming her disability? Or is the collection as a whole just not really FPP-worthy? Thanks in advance for suggestions and constructive criticism.

I object to
this deletion since the double was
Welsh and calling an Asda, not Belfast Irish calling what presumably is not an Asda. It would be ideal to post both in one thread as a compilation of pizza complaints but each is enjoyable to hear in its own way.

Why was
my post regarding the interview with the lifeguard working at the pool in Brooklyn deleted? I don't see anything wrong with it.

My temporal ocd wonders why deleted posts show up as being from the previous day, significantly confusing my time/date continuum meter.

As a follow up question to
this MeTa, isn't it kind of bad form for another user to re-post a deleted FPP before the original poster has a chance to revise and, uh, re-post?

Atlantis post vanished from the Blue? I'm running the Deleted Posts script, and I can see other deleted posts, but this one seems to have just disappeared.

I'd probably want to sweep
this booger-string of a deleted thread under the rug too if it was my site. But it's sort of sad to lose such a gold star collection of mefi members practicing the non-bigotry they preach, so if anyone lost a comment they're particularly proud of the deleting mod pretty much invited you to re-post it to the open thread
here.

While not disagreeing that it was esentially a stunt, I thought
this post by orthogonality was rather good, with the lack of context, the reaction to the material out of context and discovery of that context being features rather than bugs.

Deleted post shows up on Front Page shadowed out. Cool. Is this only visible to the original poster, or for the OP and anyone who made a comment in the thread? Thanks.

There was a list in the last few weeks of a bunch of weird places to get christmas gifts. One was the american science supply and the author commented that a similar list was put up last year. Searching metafilter and ask metafilter has proven fruitless. Can someone get me back to the post? thanks.

Just wondering what happened to my Metafilter post (why it got deleted). Did I do something wrong? I checked my email and there was no reason given over there too. Sorry if I'm being a bother Jess; just wanted to know if there was something I could've done better to make the post stay up (liked the andaman site that I'd linked it to).

I have to
disagree. I thought things were just getting interesting. There was no name-calling or other objectionable activity going on, was there? What gives?

On Ask MetaFilter I appealed for advice on how to get around being banned from a blog. It seems the thread has been deleted. Why?

I recently posted my first thread to Metafilter today. Within five minutes, it had been taken down. Did I happen to violate some policy/taboo/sense of etiquette?

"This post was deleted for the following reason: I am r00t. ph34r m3 luz3r. you're p0st suxx0rs. you R 0wnzered." I know I'm new to metafilter, but since when is there an 31337 club you have to be in to post to teh front page? I thought that was a mondo excellent link and I think you do the metafiller community a gr8 disservice by d3l33ting it.

Am I imagining things, or was there not a comment post by 4panels on
this thread that had a picture of someone....I have forgotten who. Was it deleted? I know that both FPP (especially FPP) and comments-based jpegs are bad form, but are they delete worthy?

Is there some sort of official policy regarding deleting posts? I didn't even know it was done until mine was deleted yesterday.

I was just reading a post that linked to a photo on Yahoo News about a
swastika symbol made from trees planted in 1930s-era Berlin, which were rediscovered in the 1992. I clicked to see the comments, and the post had been deleted. I refreshed the front page, and it was gone.
What are the criteria for inappropriate posts on Metafilter? If Yahoo News was comfortable showing it, why not us? Was it because the link text didn't mention objectionable material? (It was something like "Looks like Johnny Appleseed had some competition.")
