Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti π΅
End of another week, let's talk about something else that is not related to politics. I want to hear about your favorite musical(s). Broadway, Off-Broadway, live-action adaptation, film adaptations of stage musicals, etc. Who are your favorite singers/performers/entertainers? Do you have any specific songs that you like to put on repeat? Have you memorized the soundtrack? Do you sing them in your car or shower? Let's talk about a few of our favorite things. As always, be kind to yourself and to others.

Add more space between Favourites link and Add Favourites button
On a touchscreen (iPhone XS portrait mode), about half the time I try to favourite a comment, I end up clicking through to the list of whoβs favourited it. I donβt *think* I have particularly fat fingers... do other folks run into this? Any chance of adding an extra em of space there on mobile?

The Fifth Hyuck
This is the 5th in a series of Hyucking Hyuck threads, for riffing, joking, and misc. non-hollerin' overflow from politics discussion on the blue. If it breaks up the flow in a politics discussion, this is a better place for it. [more inside]

β
End of another week, let's talk about something else that is not related to politics. Let's talk about coffee. Do you like it? Hate it? Love it? Is it something you struggle with? Is a vice or indulgence? Dark, medium or lightly roasted? Milk and/or sugar? Or do you take it black? Do you grind your own beans? French press, pour over or drip? Starbucks or Dunkin? Beanplating is of course, acceptable. As always be kind to yourself and others.

Nearing the end of another week, let's talk about something else that is not related to politics. Tell me about your upcoming plans. Are you planning a vacation? Heading out on a road-trip? Camping, hiking, laying on the beach? Any festivals or concerts you're looking forward to? Maybe it's a stay-cation and you're exploring something local or maybe it's a trip to the other side of the world? Are you soloing it or maybe you have a family, friend, or loved one accompanying you? Or maybe you're just working and doing your day to day thing. Either way, feel free to share your upcoming holiday plans. As always, be kind to yourself and to others. Cheers.

Pony: Option to hide "Favorited by Others" on profile?
I am trying to cut social-media-style dopamine hits out of my life as much as I can, and I have noticed myself checking in more than I'd prefer on my "Favorited by Others" count, and clicking through to see what comments I've made that are getting lots of favorites. I'd rather not do this, but it's a longstanding habit at this point, and it's been surprisingly difficult to kick it. Would it be possible to add a preference to hide the count and link? Perception v reality of women's contributions to debate
A while back there was a data point raised in a thread that said, women only need to speak for something like 17% of the time for it to be perceived that they have spoken for 50% of the time. Can you help me find this post/comment and/or point to relevant research around it? [more inside]
153 - Josh Ruins Taiga
It's time for that monthly podcast: jessamyn and I caught up yesterday on the last month or so of all things MetaFilter, Ask MetaFilter, Projects, and so forth through the ol' enumeration of subsites. We also talk about trivia a little, and as a result I ruin taiga and possibly everything else. We also got to wondering whether Jeopardy would throw you off the show for refusing to answer questions in good faith, so, hey, Jeopardy folks: any good stories there? [more inside]

(Show us your desk, show us your purse, show us your favorite piece of art -- all aces.) So show us your desk/work area! Or if you don't want to take a photo, tell us about your favorite desk/work accessory, be it tool or decor or whatever! [more inside]
