Hysterics
These comments are really making me think, actually... I really wish people could post comments as anonymous sometimes. Because by percentages alone, YOU KNOW that there are people reading this thread who are, indeed, serial flashers or public masterbators. There HAVE to be.
You know, I can take a bit of sexism, but this is really overboard.
Please accept my apology
Back in January, I posted a pretty offensive thread.
I'm not sure if this is appropriate for MetaTalk, but I would like to apologize for it. I was in a bad place at the time, and hope that anyone who was offended will forgive me for this indiscretion.
AskMeFi, not JudgeMeFi
I want to express frustration with some of the responses in this thread. [more inside]
crush racism an sexism forever
I would be more comfortable speaking with someone gay. Is that kind of sexism halal on AskMe? I need a straight interior decorator (gay men make me uncomfortable). Where can I eat in a nice whites-only restaurant?
wtf is the point of this FPP?
Seriously, wtf is the point of this FPP? The site's not in english so it seems to me to be a thread that has no other purpose than to comment on the attractiveness of the women who are featured. How is this appropriate for Metafilter?
This thread is just turning into "dump on women"
I think this thread is just turning into a "dump on women" thread.
Best reason for deleting a thread EVER.
To Assume is to make an ass out of u and me
What is wrong with people who make their own determination of the gender of a person mentioned in an AskMe question even though that person's gender is clearly stated?
This seems to happen a lot with short and mostly useless hit and run answers. I guess people don't read the more inside, or just skim the question. Is this "male answer syndrome" at work? Why do some people answer the question they wish had been written, regardless of the actual question?
As seen today here, by majick and here, by DakotaPaul

My delicate sensibilities are offended.
Sorry if that offends your delicate sensibilities. Yes, actually, it does. It's ok if it's a man, but not a woman? This is vicious talk and a double standard. I flagged it but nothing happened.
There are many people who see Metafilter as sexist, a boyzone....
There are many people who see Metafilter as sexist, a veritable boyzone of aggression and braggadocio. What can be done to address these concerns?
Sexism is ok in the globalized landscape
So now that this little prostitute has enough money for herself...
so that this little chippie can pretend to be Mother Theresa...
So, is sexism excused when there's a globalization argument to pile on? I just want to make sure.
There's no point getting angry at Faze though.
I strongly disagree.

Does this teach any males here anything? Like, no personal attacks?
More regarding this thread (on feminism). Wherein I address Catch, since it's completely tangenital to the topic at hand.
there's trolls in there, lots of them.

holloway leads the pack, but there are a few others walking right behind.
matt, have you even looked at this thread? it's really offensive, completely unproductive as a conversation--the misogynists came
out of the woodwork too quickly for that.
honestly, if it were me, I'd boot a few people, but you might consider at least pulling the thread....
