EpiMetaFilter view pony
Could there be a view of all of the posts across all of the sites, MetaFilter, AskMetaFilter, MetaTalk, FanFare, FanFareTalk (???), Projects, IRL, etc.? I love the unique feel of the different sites, but I would love one place to see the flow of activity. Maybe CircuMetaFilter? Would this have a homogenizing effect? Impossible in Cold Fusion? Already attempted and failed miserably?
Tired of arbitrary favorites. A call for orthodoxy.
Favorites! Where do I start? Some people don't get enough. Some people get too many. The system we have now is broken. We need a more orthodox approach to give out faves. They have to MEAN SOMETHING, people! [more inside]
Can we get a "Remove from Activity" button on the Mobile site?
I was wondering if it would be possible to get the "Remove from Activity" link added to the Recent Activity page of the Mobile site. Is this something that people would like to have, and if so would it be feasible to implement this feature? [more inside]
Metachat and links.
In Metachat, links posted in chat open in the same window, so clicking them closes your chat session. Can this be fixed to open in a new tab/window so we don't inadvertently disconnect ourselves?
EVERYBODY GETS A PONY!
Pony Request: a search function for MeMail. We're able to search our activity and favorites, and I'd love to be able to do the same for MeMail. I know MeMail isn't meant to replicate the features of services like Gmail, but I think this particular function would be really useful.
WHY CAN'T I HAZ MOAR ANGRY TOADZ?
I enjoy the sidebar and the Best of Metafilter subsite that draws from it. I can't help but notice, though, that arguably the most popular posts are not well-represented there. [more inside]
My shake brings all the ponies to the yard.

Ponies on Safari
Three ponies for mobile browsers: remove posts from Recent Activity, go to my own comment after posting it (instead of the top of the page) and the ability to make a new post. Safari on ios 5 here.

May this burning pony flesh be pleasing unto the nostrils of the MODS
And he came to the place which the MODS had told him of; and Troll built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound his 12 ponies, and laid them on the altar upon the wood. [more inside]
This is why their ad revenues are fat...
What's the policy on sites that rip-off content from other sites...? [more inside]

i need feedback/help and don't know if mefi is appropriate.
I'm trying to get feedback/helpers on a collaborative Google Map of bike paths in the Boston area. It's pretty small and unambitious, hardly something I've spent "a few months" on. Is this appropriate for MeFi Projects? [more inside]
Beating dead ponies
Please bring my pony back to life!
Fields in user profiles used to have a different color background if they contained information only visible to logged in community members. Can we have this back please? [more inside]
Playlist pony
Last.fm pony please: I'd like to embed the "Recently Listened" (or similar) chart into my profile, much like the flickr photo scroll.
(Alternately, if someone knows how to do that now, I'd appreciate it). [more inside]
Follow-up post
Feature request: Allow a follow-up post on closed threads by the original FPP poster.
I often come across relevant and important information about subjects I made a FPP about months ago, but the thread is closed and it's not worth making a new FPP about it. It would be nice if the person who made the original FPP had the ability to make a single follow-up post after the FPP has closed.
The example I had in mind was this thread about Citizenre solar-power, and this new story Citizenre: A House of Cards, an important development that should be in the archived thread.
New feature idea: final follow-up/resolution feature.

Users Near Me
Small ponies, roaming free...
On my user page, it says there are 5 users near me, since it only 5 users live within 50 miles of my fair city. Sixty miles away, though, there's an absolute assload in Seattle. Would it be possible to increase the 50 mile limit if there number of users near someone is less than some magic number, so the poor guy living in Valdez, AK has users living within 1,000 miles, but those of us just outside of a more major metropolitan area don't feel quite so left out? This may be the world's smallest pony, but the 10 mile difference between almost no one near me and having a bunch of people near me has nagged at me a little bit.

How do I review my past comments?
How do I review my past comments? It was easy enough with the old layout. Now, when I click the 'My comments' link I can find out which threads I commented in, but I can't find any link to the comment itself. What am I missing?
Can we subscribe to Ask.Meta threads?

display how many comments since you last opened the thread?
This might be far too much work, but would it be possible to have a thread display how many comments there have been since you last opened the thread instead of comments since you last reloaded the page?
Can we close signups now?
Can we close the door now? I'm genuinely happy to have some new blood, but here's the problem. Pretty much everyone who's been reading the site with their noses against the glass has been let in. Hereafter, we're going to get a bunch of folks who happen to be wandering by, and know nothing of how things are done around here. (I don't know if that's the case with notmtwain, I'm only using his/her post as an example because it glares so.) We can always open it up again later, but can we have a moratorium on new users? Just for now? Please?

will there ever be an anonymous way to ask questions?
Stet's question reminds me: will there ever be an anonymous way to ask questions? I'm sure there are lots of people out there with things to ask that they don't want brought up when they're running for office...
The AskMe archive pages never seem to show a new comment count for any thread
The AskMe archive pages never seem to show a new comment count for any thread. Is this a planned feature, something that will be changed when the new software rev is posted, or my imagination?

How about a bit more detail on users than 'nnnn members' ?
How about a bit more detail on users than 'nnnn members' ?
ie. user activity: the number/percentage of the members that viewed the site, posted a comment, posted a link in the last month.
Estimated number of non members viewing the site would be good context too. [I was reading MetaFilter daily for over a year before joining]
Request number 2 for a MetaTalk search comes from me.
And couldn't the thread category, when posting to MetaTalk, default to the topic you came from? [Most people would view the topic before starting a thread here]

Should we have a separate page for politics?
Would MetaFilter be improved by moving political discussions to their own community separate from the main page? I love politics, but I think these kinds of links breed like rabbits, and I sometimes wonder if I am contributing to the Free Republicazation of this site.
