I'm in the very early stages of developing a web app. Its not close to being ready for MeFi projects, imo, but I'd love to get some MeFite feedback on what I have so far! What is the proper channel for something like this?

When I try to post something directly from Projects it doesn't work. I click on the 'Preview' or 'Post' buttons the page loads, it says 'Waiting for Metafilter' and 'Waiting for Google Analytics' on the bottom, and than nothing happens. I'm using the latest version of Firefox.

Kickstarter recently started a "Curated Pages" feature where organizations and sites can show off member projects (
here's the Creative Commons one for an example). They recently put me in charge of a "MetaFilter" curated projects page and I know I've seen dozens of mefites fund projects on Kickstarter in the past, but if anyone is currently running a project there, let me know and I'll add you to our page and share the URL when we have a few projects listed.

A tiny pony request for Projects: could there be an indication on the Projects page when a project has been posted to MeFi? I know the detail page has a "This project was posted to MetaFilter by..." but unless you wish to comment, you'll never see it.

Could there be a Project Help sub-sub-site? I envision something akin to Music Talk where folks can post their Kickstarter campaigns, requests for collaboration, brainstorm sessions, etc.

I can't post a comment to Projects. OSX 10.5.7 Safari 4.0.1 and Firefox 2.0.0.14. The comment previews okay but after hitting post it returns an empty text input box and no comment is posted.

I'm trying to get feedback/helpers on a collaborative Google Map of bike paths in the Boston area. It's pretty small and unambitious, hardly something I've spent "a few months" on. Is this appropriate for MeFi Projects?

Does Projects work for everything that would be a self-link on MeFi? Or is there a hinterland of things created by friends, relatives and other loved ones that are too self-linky for FPPing, but aren't yours and so can't go in Projects? Are things which fall into this hinterland doomed to fall softly onto the forest floor of the internet, unheard and unseen?
