so I was perusing a thread, and noticed what looks like a formatting error, in this comment

Just a reminder: Not everyone can see your post titles. [more inside]
I just noticed that setting the title font-size to zero in my user preferences no longer prevents titles from being displayed with posts. [more inside]
Every once in a while, while reading MeFi on my phone, the heading will freak out. Like this
. [more inside]
Make it stop. Please, pb, make it stop
! [more inside]
Thank you for making <pre> tags work
predictably and consistently between live preview, full preview, and posting. However.. [more inside]
Although cortex callously and without hesitation deleted my fabulous single link youtube front page post, I still see it, albeit with a re: sidebar.
Is this a feature?
I know we've discussed not adding tags to front page posts, but how about the RSS feed? For posts that are somewhat cryptic, it could help with context.
Is there some kind of residual April Fools joke going on? There's a weird glitch in the way MeFi displays for me over time. [more inside]
screenshot So, this page
is a little odd... [more inside]

Metafilter looks a little funny
today. Blue, grey, green, everything is showing up like this under firefox. Safari shows things like this
I asked for the headspace post on the writer's strike to be posted to the sidebar. BUT I DIDN'T ASK FOR IT TO BE POSTED TWICE GODDAMNIT!!!
Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how does one "view tags" for a FPP? (I tried searching for "viewing tags" or just "tags" but the amount of entries returned overwhelmed by googlefu) I know I can view popular tags, but is there a preference where you can see tags (such as near the flag/favorite entries)?
Is the header on the blue looking strange to anyone else? On mine, the "New Post," "My Profile," "Preferences," "Recent Activity" and "Favorites" links are all smooshed together underneath the search box (not the tabbed links, just the text links). I'm viewing the site in IE, WinXP, and I just noticed the smooshed links within the last hour.
The new graphic email code is broken. [more inside]
I'm using Opera (9.23, Windows NT 5.1; U; sv)
and all I see at the Metafilter frontpage is nothing at all
(image). Mefi works fine in IE. Whatever has caused this, it must have happened during the past 12 hours.
is what I see visiting AskMe. Attempting to log in returns a Forbidden
error page. What up?
appears to be borked. (Firefox 188.8.131.52 / OSX 10.4.9. Also in Safari 2.0.4)
Anyone else see a weird display bug with this
comment? In both IE and Firefox, the "posted by" line (and only the posted by line) for that comment (and only that comment) is not indented at all. I'm not familiar with the Metafilter code, but when I view source it looks like all the rest of the comments.
Possible to see members whose comments/FPPs you have favorited, who have themselves favorited one or more of your comments/FPPs?
is listed as having a best answer, but no answer is highlighted.
Feel free to put me in my place if this is way too trivial an issue, but I've been posting more recently and can't help but notice the little tip below the posting box, and—I know this is trivial, sorry—can we replace the two hyphens with a dash? kthx.
MeFi looked real nice on my fancy new phone device. I was impressed. That is all.
My "My Comments" page cut off one of my long comments that used a "small" tag, and now everything on that page is in small text. Help?
Post-specific summary statistics. [mi]
Am I the only one who now sees most of Metafilter's content in italics?
Am I the only one who sees wierd-crazy badness under this comment
in the Peter Boyle RIP post in the blue?
looks fine in the thread but is messing up "My Comments". Everything after it is in tiny-font.
I tried to answer this question, but I think something is not right with the first comment in this thread
is ferkocked. Looks like an extra " somewhere in a URL.
has a "best answer" checkmark, but no best answer inside.
Is it just me or are the tags on this page
so small as to be useless? They look like they're embedded in 100 small tags. Safari.
Time zones are funny when previewing comments on AskMe. I have my time zone set at Central. When I use live preview, my comments appear with Pacific time. I did the cookies/logout deal, and it still does it.
Uppercase HTML TITLE
text in anchor tags gets converted to lowercase (I think via previewing a post). Seen here
on AskMe. Also seems to be buggy on MeFi
What happend in this thread on Spodee
? My comment is cut off in the middle and the posting box is screwed up.
I'm not seeing the usual buttons under the comment fields. Bold, Italic, Link, et cetera. Is there upkeep/pony-development going on?
On the front page of AskMe, the img tags in swlabr's post
show up as text...but inside, the links are fixed to href tags. Oh, and I'm on Safari 2.0.3.
Why is the more inside portion of my AskMe Question
showing up in (small)?
My comments, how I love thee, let me count the bugs.
A problem with the new headers: When I tab through links to "MetaTalk," in the upper-right corner, the browser puts a dotted border around the link. This border makes the page 1px too wide, and I get a horizontal scrollbar. This also happens for a second after I click on the link but before the MetaTalk page loads. FireFox 1.5 RC3 on Windows.
AskMe is showing up like this
for me. Clicking reload didn't seem to fix it.
I think I broke it
because the comment box doesn't appear only for this thead.
Can we get the 'post a new thread' link dimmed if we haven't waited enough days? (particularly for meta and ask).
"Code" feature for ask.mefa? Not particular important or anything, but I've seen this a few times
-- any attempt to post code into ask.mefi means that it'll lose its formatting.
Somewhere around here
it appears a closing tag is needed.
A pony: Can the Live Preview box be displayed in the same fashion as the actual posts on the page? More specifically, rather than being indented to the same margins as the comment entry box, can it be shown with the same margins as the actual posts on the page?
Odd display bug: Empty lines inserted in posts prior to posters' names. Earlier, The Jesse Helms post had roughly 20 empty lines. Now the post below it has about 10.
I'm on Firefox 1.0.4 for Mac
All the mefi sites display funny on my new Pocket PC. The coloured background (blue/grey/etc) appears in chunks so as I scroll down the background scrolls past the end of blue and shows white. Irritatingly, the text is white, so I have to highlight it to see what it says. Scroll down some more and the colour comes back then goes, then comes back, you get the picture? Anyway, its IE built into Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition running on a new Dell Axim x50v.
I'm going to look such a fool when someone points me to the "Make Metafilter display Ok" button.
