Clicking "Favorite" brings up a javascript error message in Opera. Is this a known bug with a known fix?

Somewhat unimportant but, why do projects under 10 posts look like
this while using Opera?

I've been fooling around with user javascript for Opera and fixed a few problems with the live preview. The first problem is that it doesn't appear at all for me. The second problem is the sluggish live update performance when viewing longer threads. My solution is available
here, but I wouldn't mind if it found another home, like the metafilter code? For instructions on how to install and enable user javascripts, go to
Opera's documentation. [more inside]

I'm using Opera
(9.23, Windows NT 5.1; U; sv) and all I see at the Metafilter frontpage is
nothing at all (image). Mefi works fine in IE. Whatever has caused this, it must have happened during the past 12 hours.

Does the Mefi Navigator Greasemonkey script work in Opera? I followed the instructions on
this page and put the script (with the original name) in my userjs folder, but nothing happens. I checked that the correct userjs folder is specified in my site preferences. Does it work for anybody else?

Favoriting on the blue has stopped working with Opera on Windows XP. Works fine on all other sites.

Well, as it turns out, posting to Metafilter using opera on the wii is a massive pain in the ass. But it works, as this clearly shows.

So I guess favoriting is still broken for Opera. (I
posted about this on Oct 25th). I dunno if Matt intends to support this feature on Opera or not, but I thought I'd prod anyway to see if the answer might be yes. (Please!)
Yeah, yeah, I'll switch to Firefox, it just crimps my browsing style. It's just not my... favorite.

Computer crashed; it logged me out in AskMe but not here (?). Attempting to login at AskMe returns the following error:
Error Occurred While Processing Request
Element CAPTCHATEXT is undefined in FORM.
Resources:
* Enable Robust Exception Information to provide greater detail about the source of errors. In the Administrator, click Debugging & Logging > Debugging Settings, and select the Robust Exception Information option.
* Check the ColdFusion documentation to verify that you are using the correct syntax.
* Search the Knowledge Base to find a solution to your problem.

Layout on ask.me, the blue and the grey all seem to be a little messed up on Opera 8.51 since last night. All the content is showing up beneath the side blog boxes (on the blue.)

I can't log in to AskMeFi using Opera. Logging in (it doesn't matter which login link I start with) gets me signed into Metafilter and Metatalk, but I still show as logged out in AskMeFi no matter how many times I log in.
Mozilla and IE work fine.

Opera Post Bug Redux? I swear
this was a single post. Here's what I think I did: Typed stuff; hit Preview (to work around the Opera submission bug); hit submit. (Haven't tried to recreate, because I don't want to mess up the thread with more extraneous stuff.)

Them purdy buttons. Bold, Italic, Link, Spellcheck. I use Opera. I can see them (and they work great, too) if I connect using an ssh tunnel & web proxy (I use the SSH Express service from cotse.net). I do
not see them if I turn my proxy off. Whassup? The fancymatic preview works whether I use the proxy or not, so apparently it's just the button bar that's discriminating against my naked Opera.

Did the addition of live preview break comment posting in Opera? Comments still get posted, but on submit, the page never refreshes, and just sits there and spins.
Are other Opera users having this problem, or just me?

The "my comments" "most recent comments" etc. box does not show up when this site is viewed with the opera browser. Or does it, and I just don't have mine set right? I struggled with it for a while, thinking I hadn't actually logged in. However, I was logged in. I could post comments. I accepted all cookies.

Opera users now see the a page margin on the homepage, where there wasn't one before (presumably due to a change in the style sheet).

Login weirdness with Opera 6.04: After I enter username/passwrd and hit 'login' the page stalls: just a white screen. If I open up another window and load mefi I'm logged in correctly, but the original window stays blank and has to be closed. Problem doesn't happen in metatalk login.

Two things: 1) In Opera the spellcheck appears to be deleting my posts.
2) In the Opera browser the main page, but not metatalk or any of the comments, is blinking and resetting my scroll bars. It does look kinda cool but....

Spell check doesn't work properly on opera 6.0 for linux. The checking works fine, but if you replace a word after the run is complete the entire comment text gets replaced by the last corrected word (owch).

OK, assuming I'm not being banned by the Management, I can no longer use Mefi in Opera or IE 5.0. When logged in, all I see is a sea of blue or a sea of brown (Metatalk), on what appears to be a huge Web page. as I scroll down, single words appear very VERY far apart. Is this a cruel joke?

I'm trying to see if Opera for Mac might be something to switch to. But, at least in Mefi/Metatalk, my font Metafilter font preferences, while they seem to register in "Customize" Mefi, do not take hold. Is there something in Opera: I can't get the font smaller; and there's too much space between lines of text. Is there something I'm not adjusting in OPERA?

I can't post. :-(
I entered my post, did a preview, and I'm ready to go. I'm at the
http://www.metafilter.com/contribute/post_preview.mefi page and
hit the POST button. It just keeps bringing me back to the same place.
I am running Opera 5.0 under Linux.

You can't post a link on Opera/Linux: the "Post -> Wait" button just takes you back to the preview page.

Opera5 shows the "MetaFilter college scholarship" as an off yellow link but it's not clickable. After a quick glance at the HTML it seems Opera doesn't like the negative value, "margin-top:-20px". It looks like there's an unclosed DIV tag around that area too, well, maybe.

Dude, you should check out MetaFilter in Amaya. It’s, well, yeah.
Oh, and I noticed that the text to the left of the input fields (Username:, Password:, Description:, Category:) decides to hide behind the input fields in Opera 5.02. It gets worse if you decrease the width of the window. It’s no big deal or anything, if you know what you’re doing.
Here’s a screenshot.

Boy, I hate to gripe, but using Opera 3.6, *blush* I can't post comments using the new prevent-double-post-code. It always previews, I'm guessing it's coz both the preview and post buttons have the name 'post.'
