Does anyone remember a post (from the past year or so, I think) about some digital art that was made by taking (pixel-wide?) slices of video and sort of "painting" with it?

Looking for an old post: a big-ass site with models in a gajillion different poses, meant to serve as a reference for practicing figure drawing. Anyone remember this?

I know there are artists, hobbyists, and crafters among the Mefi members. Are any swapping ATCs?

Meta Filter, [1973-75] is an interactive console, two participants sit on either side and look at a series of neutral images of people, people as individuals or people in relationship to others on the small screen in front of them.

This might be a longshot, but are there any mefites that would be interested in an unofficial oekaki drawing board, or some other kind of drawing/art/Muro/doodle/paintchat board/community?

This post is Pepsi-Blue. divabat isn't even trying to hide the fact.
Smarties Australia paired 8 kids up with 8 artists to create art based on each Smarties colour ... getting the product name in twice in the lead sentence.

WTF, MetaFilter? Especially after two epic threads about rape experience and not knowing whether to trust other people, it seems, I don't know. Unwise? To
post about this animation that's rather the antithesis of all that work. I'm really just not getting it.

My Askmefi question only recieved one answer...I realize that this must just
happen every so often, but I'm wondering, a) how I might avoid it, and, b) can I ask the same question again in the hopes of getting more answers?

How is the question of Jeff Koons' validity as an artist, called into question by his departure from his financial worker past, anything other than chatfilter?

Any other Washington, DC area Mefites taking part in this year's
Artomatic? It's May 9 to June 15. I'd like to see your work and maybe meet. Registration is still open (800 artists so far). You should at least go and see it even if you're not taking part.

9 months ago I mentioned my Black Book Art Circle Project, and sent out a whack of books to MeFites. So far, none have come back. I did move in the meantime, but paid for mail forwarding to my current location, just so there would be no lost art. That service is about to expire. Does anyone know the status of the books they received?

I'm a bit obsessive about my album art, but I never had anything for the songs I've snatched from MeFi Music (
chococat, I'm looking in your direction). So I whipped up
a little something that I thought I'd share with the community. It's nothing special, but perhaps it will help fill out your Cover Flow.

I won't argue the removal of the ascii art, but it wasn't all that bad, was it? (
RE)
I won't do it again, anyway.

Previous Black Book Art Circle post. The new 8 books are going out to:
riotgrrl69, dersins, ThePinkSuperhero, robert angelo, david coulter (didn't give his username), nanojath, routergirl! Note that is only 7, because I promised one to
klangklangston but he has not given me his mailing address (
HINT).
Previous books went to
brundlefly, jessamyn, cortex, dobbs, and bardic. If you are none of of these people or the new recipients, and want to participate, please say so and maybe someone will be kind enough to make you their next recipient!

Artists in every media, I'm thinking about the creative process, generating ideas for inter-media (is there such a word?) collaboration, and where abstract art originates.

Metafilter is a great site, but by sheer definition it covers a wide gamut of topics. Are there any
Metafilteresque or 'slash' sites for artists, designers or photographers? I want a k10kesque slash site to visit.
Aside from that, what other wonder sites are there which fit into this mold? I'm currently enjoying
iaslash.org a great deal, which is for information architects. Other than that, I'm stumped. Thanks!
