How is favoriting every single comment (in several different threads) different from any other kind of crapflood? It dilutes what (arguably little) utility the favorites have for anyone else, and annoys me because I haven't had coffee yet.

"How long will there will cowards logged into Metafilter?"

ParisParamus, 4 am JST : "How long will there will cowards logged into Metafilter?"

ParisParamus, 10:37 am JST : "Metafilter: keeping as many liberal and pacifist a-holes inside, so they do the least amount of damage possible in the real world."

Callout/Etiquette: please have the courtesy to put email in profile

Proposed : That if you're going to incessantly troll threads and insult people's intelligence, all in an infuriatingly supercilious and unctuous tone that seems intended to inflame, you should at least have the courtesy to provide an email address on your profile, disposable or otherwise.

Scott Peterson post complaint

Dennis Murphy : "It kills you that everyone doesn't think exactly like you, right? This is metafilter. There is one post on on this case, and hundreds on the iraq war, most antibush, antiwar, antiright. What more do you want?"

Got the hate-on for "I for one welcome our...."

mathowie : I delete a handful of 'I for one, welcome our ___ overlords' comments every day. I used to do the same for vibrating comments. I hate pancake references too. They're all just forms of heckling, attempting to derail any discussion and take attention away, just like an in-the-flesh heckler at a speech. I don't buy the 'but other kids were doing it, mom!' because everyone doing it is being a bad citizen by contributing noise to the site."

please don't do this

Not really very pleasant at all....I'm not sure if singling someone out is the best thing to do, but there's no email address on his profile, the URL is dead, and all of his comments have been like this of late... we all have bad weeks, but this just stuff is just pointless.
Is it worth noting, or am I being too much of a schoolmarm?
