Interactive netvibes module
I would love to see an interactive netvibes.com module (an interesting RSS aggregator/ web 2.0 start page). Something creative could definitely be created. Also it would be great to see a +Netvibes button http://eco.netvibes.com/button/ in the "Subscribe via RSS feeds:" button list.
More functionality from project, music listings
In the projects RSS feed, the URL points to the submitted project, not the projects page, so in order to vote or comment I have to go to projects and find the link manually. Also, it would be nice if on the music page, you could favorite and playlist songs right from the main listing, rather then just on the individual song pages, so that if you're listening to a bunch of songs, in order, you could favorite without needing to change pages.
"Humorous" titles give no clue on content by rss
I find the MetaFilter font page unreadable. And I mean that in the best possible way. I joined MetaFilter so I could participate in its well-above-average discussions that kept turning up in my Google searches. But now that I'm here, I can't find posts I'm interested in on the front page.
I use an RSS reader, and often the jokey headlines give no clue of the post's content. This is just a bad idea. And I understand that links are encouraged, but the visual distraction of link-overloaded posts, compounded with the 15 minutes minimum it would take me to digest them all, leads me to move on before I'm even sure what the post was about. If I only want to click on few, how do I know which of the ten are the best? And where are they going?
Maybe this is just my problem. I'm not dedicated enough to enjoy M.F. But I think it would be better to have a style guide that encourages clarity.

Broken RSS Feed
Borked last night and Borked the night before/Going to get Borked tonight if we never get Borked any more./When we're Borked we're sick as we can be/'Cos "Syntax Error on line 1" is much too much for me.

AskMe RSS Error
Sigh. I think the ask.metafilter rss is borked again.
I get this message:
XML parsing failed: syntax error (Line: 1, Character: 0)
with no updates for the last 3+ hours. Not that I'm addicted or anything.
unexpected text (non-whitespace text outside root element)

Metafilter titles should be more succinct for RSS readers
Reading the blue through RSS is still something of a guessing game. A while ago there was a useful discussion about this but nothing's really changed. Please could the blue be more like the green? (in so many ways.)
RSS Music Pony
MusicalPony: it would be nice if the RSS feed for Music included the name of the poster.
Announcing MeFi Music!
Now in alpha beta gamma whatever: MeFi Music. Built in 12 hours with help from pb, it's still got some rough edges and features to come, but for now you can upload a song you've written and recorded (this isn't for file sharing), stream it from the front page or from its own page (where you can also leave comments). You can add things to playlists and stream those too. And the RSS feed is a podcast you can drag into iTunes to suck down every mp3 that gets posted. I'm sure there are bugs and the color scheme was slapped together in five minutes, but expect to see things ironed out in the next couple weeks and I'll add it to the global nav for all sites when it feels complete. If you have any comments or questions, drop them here.
Is there a problem with the AskMe RSS Feed?
Is it just me, or is the AskMe RSS Feed reported to be broken on BlogLines more often than not?
"The feed URL returns a page that does not look like an RSS feed. This can be caused by the feed URL being incorrect, or it can be caused by a configuration issue with the server hosting the feed. If this error continues, you should check the feed URL and, if it is wrong, subscribe to the correct URL."

Could we have per-user rss comment feeds? To assuage the fears of the paranoid, maybe they could be user switchable and off by default.
AskMe format and useability
Love/Hate: I can't read AskMeFi (CSS help?). Does anyone have an external CSS file or a setting or a magic pixie dust that makes these pages we're on more readable?
I tried posting this question to askmefi, but got prompted with a "prob better on metatalk" denial. There is no Category for help, so I'm putting this under feature requests...
I'm using firefox (which offers more solutions) to read these pages and I find the colors, indentation, lack of structure so hard to follow. I would love something that had alternating row (posts) colors and a way to really tell the difference between a post, a comment, a response, whatever.
Any usability specialists out there with the same beef? I love the content, its just the presentation that drives me batty. (I do use RSS to choose what to read, but once I click in...boomsucka...I feel like I'm in a all green library with green books green carpeting a couple yellow magazines and no cataloging of any sort.
I've got this "developer" extension for firefox installed so I can change/tweak/alter a lot of things including fonts, external css files, whatever. Please send help...I'm sinking.

Is there a way to get RSS of a user's comments?
Is there a way to get an RSS feed of http://ask.metafilter.com/search_comments.mefi?user_ID=NNNNN ?
If not, could that happen at some point? Some users tend to give really interesting answers no matter what question is being asked, and it'd be nice to be able to be notified when they jump in.

FeedRinse is a wonderful tool for filtering web feeds that are produced by multiple author
I'd like to point out that FeedRinse is a wonderful tool for filtering web feeds that are produced by multiple authors. It filters out posts if they contain certain terms. I've already created a couple of MeFi channels. This one filters: pepsi, israel, religion, newsfilter, congress, fitz, rove, federal, eff, google and perjury. This feed filters the terms I've outlined already, plus the words 'iraq' and 'apple'. And this Metatalk feed filters the following terms: video, flag, dios, spoiler, delete, chatfilter, pony and editorializing. I thought about adding the term 'ban' to that one but sometimes those posts are *too* entertaining.
Bloglines + AskMe = feed error
Is anyone else having an AskMe feed error in bloglines?
RSS for Individual Threads
Is there any way (RSS ;) ?) to track the progress of an individual thread? I would like to be notified of updates to the ones I'm most interested in without having to check the site all the time.
I'm new to MetaFilter, but I did check the FAQ first. Appologies if this is a dead horse or a stupid question.

RSS " -> ?
When users make FPPs with curly quotes, they are not properly encoded in the RSS feed. Instead of their respective entities (“, ”), they are replaced with question marks. This is in the RSS feed, not an error on the part of my RSS readers (NetVibes, NewsGator, and NetNewsWire for the record). Is this intended behavior, or a bug?

User RSS
Hey! Per user RSS feeds! Keen!
Can we RSS for posts and comments?
It would be cool to have RSS feeds on a per user basis. I'm thinking mainly posts but comments would be fine too. Something like http://www.metafilter.com/username.mefi/user/posts.rss and http://www.metafilter.com/username.mefi/user/comments.rss. It'd be a great way to keep up with people whose stuff you enjoy (like everyone's favorite) w/o getting lost in the volume.

Any chance that coComment support could be added?
[pony] Any chance that coComment support could be added to to ?(ask.|metatalk.|projects.)metafilter.com? RSS feeds of comment responses sure would be spiffy. Instructions are here.

RSS feed of someone's individual contributions
How easy would it be to have an RSS feed of someone's individual contributions across Metafilter? There are a couple of members whose work is consistently good and might be worth watching as you would an individual blog.
MetaTalk RSS: TTL tag missing
TTL tag is missing in MetaTalk RSS (and possibly other feeds) but not the main Metafilter feed.

Projects Bug
Project RSS feed enhancements
The Projects RSS feed has no way of directly clicking on the project URL. The URL is the votes page; the title and URL are not included in the . If this is unintended, I suggest one of the following: change the to the project URL, and have a link to the votes page at the end of the ; or keep the the same but repeat the title, with a link to the URL, at the start of the .

TinyPonyFilter: Add HTML LINK element to MetaTalk's HEAD content to benefit the RSS features in Mozilla.
MetaTalk RSS feed links point to MeFi not MeTa
The MetaTalk RSS feed is slightly misguided. Links point to MetaFilter threads of the same #, not the correct MeTa thread.
