End-of-year AskMe Followup Reminder

It's the 31st of December, so now is a good reminder to look through all the AskMe's you posted in 2012 and add any followups, as they will start to close over the next year.

Ajax the Best Answers

Is it possible to make [Best Answer] work like favorites? You know, all AJAX-y? [more inside]

He should have known he would get responces like this from wacked-out liberals.

Okay, so this is an idiotic question.. Given that, howzabout everyone (myself included) sits on our hands since I just don't think anything helpful remains to be said. [more inside]

Translate ReadMe int CheckMeOutFromLibrary

I seem to remember that in the wake of this question someone mentioned (on MeTa, I think) putting all the books that appealed to them into an Amazon wishlist. They were then able to use some sort of tool that exported it into a format useful for taking it to their public library. Does anyone remember this posting? I tried to search for it but my googleFu blah blah blah...

So, did you survive eating the sandwich?

The great AskMe folllowup roundup -- sort of a pony, sort of a good idea. People, if you have posted an AskMe in the last year or so (meaning it is still live) and you found the answers helpful, and something happened as a result of the AskMe, many people are curious to know what the end result is. Going back, marking best answers if you haven't done so, and telling us what the heck ended up happening would all be much appreciated. [more inside]

I can't has cheezburger. Do not want sense of taste

I don't like the question. Either lizzicide is a very clever troll, or she is a very foolish person. I put in an answer mostly to highlight the overall foolishness of her position, but it appears that despite clear reasons that her hypothesis (tasting less=eating less) is not a good one, she seems more convinced than ever that her idea will work. What if someone else comes along and is convinced by her "reasoning" and does this very, very stupid thing? Apparently, it's not all that acceptable in the AskMe itself to berate the questioner. So let me come out on MeTa and say it, lizzicide: your idea is bad, and you should feel bad.
