Request to update MetaTalk posting page for IE.
Dear Matt: given that most people here use IE, when will you modernize the MetaTalk posting page? You've known for ages that anyone hitting the "Back" button to edit their post will lose everything because of IE browser settings.
When will it be as easy as the MetaFilter one? How is someone who knows no HTML supposed to post to MetaTalk with the appropriate links, bold and italic emphases and whatever?

Minor quibble with drop-down menu
Here's a minor quibble: when you sort the front page by "recent comments" the drop-down menu goes to "recent comments" accordingly and you can then select "date" and the page will reset.
However, if you choose "most comments" or "my comments" the menu goes automatically to "date" so you can't reset the page to date-ordered posts in one click. You have to, for instance, select "recent comments" and then select "date".
This is probably very taxing on the server. Is there any cleverer way round it?

I totally did not click post twice.
Why is it, even if you click only once on "post" and then remove all digits from the keyboard until some error message appears, resist temptation to click again and in fact close MeFi just to avoid posting at all, you are still rewarded, minutes later with a double post?
Double posts imply frenetic clicking but this is just true...
