hmmmm... why is this here, and what does it mean that there are NO comments? I saw this post earlier today, checked the link, and, frankly, had a "what the heck moment", I couldn't think of a single comment about that movie that made any sense...and, then, I wondered what would happen to this post, it just felt, well, odd in some way. I got busy and never got back to it until now (7 hours or so later), and it STILL has no comments. How often does it happen that a post garners NO comments, yet remains on the site? Because we can't or won't discuss it, does it necessarily make it a bad post, or unfit, in some way, for MetaFilter? Just curious....

I wavered between "Grab Bag" and "Society and Culture" and finally went with the latter, though my impression of that category is that it's meant to address quite different, mostly contemporary questions... and checking past questions seems to affirm that it's not a great fit, though probably the best we have. (Mobile) pony requests: 1. It'd be nice if commenting was enabled from the mobile site. 2. How about a "load more" link on the section pages so that we can get to older posts more easily. 3. This is a bit more pie in the sky, but it would be great if internal links were rewritten to point to the mobile equivalent. I know the mobile site is a bit of a ghetto in terms of attention, but it really is a fantastic way to get my fix.

Two little flag ponies: after flagging a post or comment, can the text be elaborated beyond [Flagged], maybe [Flagged as Fantastic/ Noise/ Derail/ Etc]? I worry about mis-flagging items. This is a good post and subsequent discussion in many ways; but it seems to be a pretty clear violation of the self-linking prohibition in the FAQ: "It's against the rules to link to ... a site that you host or contribute to substantially".
