33: Grains of rice
The 33rd podcast covers the best of the MetaFilter universe for the month of October and since we recorded this on Halloween morning, there are Halloween-themed mentions wherever possible. It runs about 50 minutes long and features music from the October Music Challenge (mostly Halloween-themed) [more inside]

Related Project Posting Prevention?
I have a Related Project Posting Dilemma. There seems to be no place for me to inform Mefites about a piece of music that I recorded, but did not write. I can't do an FPP, as I'm quite directly related, but I can't post in MeMusic as it's not my piece. [more inside]

Pony request: show favorites by user
I'd like to be able to see which of a user's posts/comments I have favorited. For instance, I know I've faved seven of cortex's posts/comments, according to the infodump, but which ones? There's no easy way to find out. If I search for "cortex" in my favorites, I only get references to his name, not things posted by him. [more inside]

But, it's my FAVORITE!
I can't seem to favorite comments or posts. I've tried to fave a couple of things today, and instead, it bounces me back up to the top of the page. When I refreshed the page, it seemed to hang on scripts.metafilter, and I briefly timed out when I logged out and logged back in. [more inside]

Check for Ticks: Direct linking to best answers

Weird Permalinks in the FAQ
I was reading the FAQ, and I clicked on the "permalink" link for a specific question thinking it would be a link (anchor or something) for just that question, but instead it led to this page. I think it happens with all the FAQs, not just this RSS one; they all go to metatalk threads. Thanks.

Why is it that you can post to AskMe as Anon and then make a normal post, but you can't do it the other way around? Once you've made a post the Anon link vanishes from the post page.

feed for personal activity
I've been playing with a lifestream app, and it would be interesting to be able to pull my metafilter posting/commenting history into that. The most streamlined way for that to happen would be via RSS. It doesn't seem like there's any way to do that currently.
Obviously this is a low priority, but if it's just a matter of flipping a switch, it could be interesting. [more inside]

Let's NOT go down the "more after the jump" path.
Posts such as this one or this one don't really make for a good post, at least from the front page's POV. How about an addendum to the posting guidelines to nip the god-awful "more after the jump"-style of linking in the bud before it starts to take over on MeFi?

Disabled accounts show up in "nearby users." I clicked on this profile and then had to click on this username (because, WTF? Was santorum taken?). Well, to make matters slightly weirder, a search for santorum brings up the username and the user's "real" name, though it's no longer visible in the profile.
